Mission
Our school‐wide mission at Sutter is to afford students the opportunity to master essential communication skills, have the ability to problem solve, reflect on how they learn, understand their role in a democracy, be creative, be willing to be risk takers, and be lifelong learners. In order to accomplish this, we intend to put programs into place that will comprehensively support the needs of all our stakeholders (students, parents, staff, and community).
Vision
Sutter Middle School will cultivate an innovative learning environment that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through strategies that promote 21st-century skills: critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity. As global citizens and life-long learners, students will be reflective, proactive problem solvers empowered to use the tools of inquiry and innovation to meet current and future challenges within their local and global communities. We will foster a safe, welcoming learning environment that champions the voices of students and stakeholders who engage cooperatively to engender the academic and social-emotional growth of all diverse learners.
