Our Mission

Our mission is to afford students the opportunity to master essential communication skills, have the ability to problem solve, reflect on how they learn, understand their role in a democracy, be creative, be willing to be risk takers, and be lifelong learners.

A neighborhood school seeking to meet the needs of all students. At Sutter Middle School, we take a team approach to education. To successfully transition students from elementary to middle school, we seek to personalize learning for students by programming students into interdisciplinary teams.

No School Friday and Monday

Attention Los Angeles Unified Families: In observance of California Admissions Day and Labor Day, schools will be closed from September 4th through September 7th. Schools will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.

Attendance Presentation 9/16/26 8:30 AM

Join us for our Attendance Presentation on 9/16/26 in the Parent Center at 8:30 AM to learn more about attendance laws, attendance data, attendance incentives, goals, and tips. Refreshments will be provided!
