Culmination Requirements
To participate in the culmination activity, eighth grade students must meet all LAUSD and school-site criteria to earn a Certificate of Completion.

To earn a Certificate of Completion, students will be evaluated based on the marks and credits earned in the eighth grade.

Students will earn 5 credits for passing each semester course with a "D" or better.

Grades from all subject areas will be used to determine credits earned in eighth grade.

Students must earn a total of 50 credits during that 8th grade year to be eligible for the Certificate of Completion.

To participate in Sutter Middle School's culmination ceremony, a student must meet the minimum requirements to earn a Certificate of Completion (50 credits) and be in good standing with respect to their work habits, cooperation, attendance and citizenship.

No more than 4 unsatisfactory marks (U's) in work habits and cooperation on their final report card.

No outstanding school debts (textbooks, library fines, technology devices)

No administrative restrictions due to serious violation of the Student Code of Conduct, education code and/or penal code from 6th to 8th grade.
